Reid Fursmidt, MD Wright State Univ. Boonshoft School of Medicine
Reid Fursmidt, MD was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. He completed his undergraduate degree in neuroscience at Michigan State University, and following this, he obtained a master's degree from the University of Michigan in physiology. He then worked as a data scientist at the U-M Drug Repurposing Center, building AI and machine learning algorithms for drug discovery projects before heading to medical school at Wright State University. There, he was passionate about continuing his research interest in AI implementation and went on to form the Academic Medicine Interest Group. Following his transition year at Soin, he will move to New York to begin Radiology residency at North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Hospital. In his spare time, he loves non-fiction reading, anything watersport-related, hanging out with friends, and trying new foods.

Justin Moran, DO grew up in Beavercreek after his father was stationed at Wright Patterson AFB. He has stayed in Ohio since, where he graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys video games on his self-built PC and distance running.

Dr. Lakhvir Sandhu, MD received her Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The Ohio State University and then moved to Chicago to attend Loyola University for medical School. After her transitional year she will be continuing residency at University of Cincinnati in Radiation Oncology. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Isabella Stoakes, DO was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho where she was active in 4-H and high school rodeo. Isabella studied Nutrition Science at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana while working as an ophthalmic technician at Medical Eye Specialists. Isabella attended medical school at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and in 2023 was the Hoopes Vision Clinical Research Fellow in Draper. Utah. With a profound understanding of rural communities and a dedication to serving underserved populations, Isabella's passion for medicine continues to flourish. In her free time, Isabella enjoys any outdoor activity whether she's backpacking with her husband and two corgis, casting a line while fly fishing, or carving through fresh powder on skis.
